Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux Proxy Server

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Proxy Server is an antivirus solution designed to protect web traffic (http/ftp) which passes through the proxy server. The application helps make web surfing safe and protects users against infected web content and most worms distributed via instant messaging (IM) programs.

Features

Detects and disinfects viruses, spyware and other malware

Real-time web traffic protection. The application integrates with the proxy server using the ICAP protocol (Internet Content Adaptation Protocol) and scans all web traffic passing through the proxy server in both directions in real-time.
URL filtering. The application provides URL filtering of websites by file type and file size. It also allows administrators to define different web filtering policies by IP address, URL and user groups.
Archive and compressed file scanning. The application supports antivirus scannign of more than 70 types of compression archive formats (more than 420 versions) and more than 260 types of executable file packers (more than 1330 versions).
High Reliability. The application provides protection from memory leaks, hardware errors, input/output errors and unhandled exceptions.

Flexible management and administration

Customizable notifications. System administrators can define the format and contents for messages sent to users as .html pages.
Groups support. The system administrator can set up groups of users and assign different antivirus policies for each group.
Scalability. The system administrator can limit the number of antivirus engines and scanning time depending upon server performance.
Remote administration. Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Proxy Server can be configured either traditionally, via the application’s configuration file, or using the web interface.
