Automatic configuration
Microsoft ISA Server works in one of three modes: Firewall, Proxy or Integrated. Each of these modes is provided with its own carefully tailored set of functions. During installation, Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Standard Edition automatically detects the mode in which the ISA server is operating and installs the required set of filters.
Optimized performance
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Standard Edition is a completely scalable application that offers the high performance necessary to cope with servers carrying heavy loads.
Multiple copies of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine can be launched simultaneously (four copies run by default).
Optimization technologies streamline the program’s operation and greatly reduce the number of scan processes that need to be launched.
Excluding objects from scanning
To target scanning as accurately as possible and increase the scanning speed, the administrator can create a list of trusted servers, which carry a very low likelihood of infection. Any data that arrives on the network from a trusted server is excluded from scanning. It is also possible to set individual filtration levels for different groups of clients.
To prevent delays in the delivery of data packets to users, the administrator can set a time limit for each scan, the maximum interval between each packet and/or a limit on the size of packets that the program will set aside for analysis.
Administration
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Standard Edition integrates with the Microsoft ISA server. A specially designed interface for managing the antivirus solution is compatible with the Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Using this single interface, the administrator can set group security policies and receive reports, etc.
